Tanu Weds Manu 3 Stalled:
Fans of Kangana Ranaut and R. Madhavan, who were eagerly waiting for the third part of the hit romantic-comedy franchise Tanu Weds Manu, may have to wait longer. Reports suggest that Tanu Weds Manu 3 has been stalled due to differences between director Aanand L. Rai and production house Eros International over the rights of the film’s title.

The original Tanu Weds Manu (2011) and its sequel Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015) were produced by Eros, with Aanand L. Rai directing both films. While Rai was reportedly developing the third installment, Eros issued a public statement asserting that they exclusively hold the rights to the Tanu Weds Manu title.
“Eros International Media Ltd is the sole and absolute owner of all rights in the title Tanu Weds Manu and any future use of the said title in any form is not authorized without prior written approval from us,” the company stated.
This disagreement has created uncertainty around the project, leaving fans disappointed. The first two films in the franchise were box office hits, with Kangana’s double role in Tanu Weds Manu Returns becoming one of her most celebrated performances.
While both Aanand L. Rai and the actors have expressed interest in returning for a third film, the ongoing tussle over rights needs to be resolved before the project can move forward. For now, the future of Tanu Weds Manu 3 remains unclear. Eros has even said that they will take legal action if any party is trying to use their title for their film.
