Sonam Bajwa Joins Border 2:
The highly anticipated war drama Border 2 is getting bigger with each announcement. The latest update confirms that popular Punjabi star Sonam Bajwa has joined the cast, reuniting with Diljit Dosanjh on the big screen. The film is set to release in cinemas on 22nd January 2026.

This marks another major addition to an already impressive ensemble. Sunny Deol, who headlined the 1997 classic Border, will be reprising his role, bringing back memories of the original that celebrated courage and sacrifice during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. Alongside him, Varun Dhawan is set to play a pivotal role, while Diljit Dosanjh brings his trademark intensity and charm to the narrative. Moreover, there is Ahaan Shetty, son of Suniel Shetty, who played one of the most powerful roles in the 1997 flick. Then there is Medha Rana, a new talent.
Sonam Bajwa and Diljit Dosanjh have previously worker in Honsla Rakh. Their reunion in a film as grand as Border 2 promises a mix of emotion and chemistry against the backdrop of patriotism and valor. Sonam has just had two big Bollywood releases, Housefull 5 and Baaghi 4 and has bagged another sequel now.
Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 is being touted as one of the biggest war films ever mounted in Indian cinema. With a blend of seasoned stars and fresh faces, the film aims to carry forward the legacy of J.P. Dutta’s original while presenting a modern cinematic spectacle for today’s audience.
