Loveyapa box office collections:
Loveyapa, which marks the theatrical debut of star kids Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor, was released yesterday. The film didn’t carry any weight at the box office except that it was the debut of Aamir Khan’s son and Sridevi’s daughter. The initial reports suggested a poor opening, and that’s exactly what has happened.

Loveyapa Day One collections:
The film faced Himesh Reshammiya’s Badass Ravi Kumar, which performed well on day one, and Christopher Nolan's popular flick, Interstellar (re-release). Advait Chandan’s romantic comedy was sandwiched between these two, and the results are obviously bad. The film minted approximately 90 lakhs on day one as per early estimates (actuals can vary ±10%).

Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor both had their Bollywood debuts with OTT releases and were therefore sheltered from the pressures of the box office. With Loveyapa, they have to confront the realities of ticket sales. The film has received a decent response from critics, but audiences are completely rejecting remakes these days. Loveyapa seems to be another victim of that trend. Junaid has a few more projects coming up, so it will be interesting to see where his career heads, while Khushi has another OTT film coming next month, so there is no pressure at the box office. However, their theatrical debut doesn’t seem to have gone well here.
