Jay Bhanushali & Mahhi Vij Heading for a Divorce?

There have been persistent rumours that television actors Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij are heading for a divorce after more than a decade together. The couple married in 2011, and later welcomed their daughter Tara in 2019, besides fostering two children — Rajveer and Khushi. 

Reports of trouble began gaining traction as fans noticed fewer joint social media posts from the couple. Some outlets speculated that marital issues could be brewing.

However, Mahhi Vij recently broke her silence and strongly addressed the speculation. She stated on a podcast that even if there were issues, “why should I tell you? Are you my uncle? Will you pay my lawyer’s fee?” making it clear she doesn’t feel the need to justify her private life to the public.  She also slammed media outlets and social platforms for chasing clicks by spreading unverified rumours.

Hindustan Times reported that Mahhi’s serious trust issues with Jay escalated the matter beyond a certain point. “Once known for their joint vlogs, they’ve stopped posting pictures together. Their last collab family post was in June 2024,” the source told the media portal.

At this stage, there is no official confirmation that the couple is divorced or formally separating. While speculation continues, Mahhi’s tone suggests they are not in the mood to publicly address every claim. As she put it: “Just live and let live.”
