Actress Janki Bodiwala recently discussed an unusual and bold experience from the sets of the Gujarati psychological thriller Vash. Known for her dedication to her craft, Janaki recalled a particular scene that required a high level of authenticity. While preparing for the film through workshops, the director approached her with a unique request — to actually perform a scene involving urination on screen.

Sharing her reaction during a group conversation with Filmfare, Janki said, "I did the Gujarati version (Vash), and I had the same scene to perform there. While we were doing workshops, the director, who is a very good person, asked me, ‘Can you do it for real? The pee scene. It will make a big impact.’ And I was so happy about it. Like, whoa! Being an actor, I’m getting a chance to do it on screen. Something that no one has ever done."

Her willingness to embrace such a raw and challenging moment reflects her fearless approach to acting and commitment to pushing boundaries in performance. The scene, although unconventional, was meant to enhance the intensity and realism of the narrative. Janki’s statement has since sparked conversations about realism in cinema and the lengths actors go to deliver powerful performances. Because of her compelling portrayal, she was offered to reprise the same role in the Hindi remake, Shaitaan (2024). She has done a commendable job in the Hindi version too.
