Ikk Kudi First Week Collection:

Shehnaaz Gill’s latest Punjabi release, Ikk Kudi, has turned out to be a box office disappointment. The film, which carried decent pre-release buzz due to Gill’s strong fan following on social media, failed to attract audiences in theatres. The film once again proved that social media followers and liked don't mean footfalls in cinemas.

The film’s performance was hurt by its weak content and lacklustre word of mouth. Despite some initial curiosity surrounding the project, the response to the trailer and songs had already hinted at limited appeal.

Directed by Amarjit Singh Saron, Ikk Kudi was expected to be a strong outing for Shehnaaz Gill in Punjabi cinema following her growing popularity. However, the mixed reviews and ordinary storytelling seem to have failed in connecting with audiences, especially in the crucial urban markets.

With this, Ikk Kudi joins the list of recent Punjabi films that struggled to sustain beyond their opening weekend. Unless it performs unexpectedly well on streaming platforms, the film’s theatrical run is nearly over, marking it as a box office flop. The film also stars Nirmal Rishi, Udaybir Sandhu, and Harby Sangha.
