Hrithik Roshan Rejected Dil Chahta Hai and 3 Idiots:

Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan recently made a surprising revelation that he had turned down two of the most iconic films in Indian cinema — Dil Chahta Hai (2001) and 3 Idiots (2009). Both films went on to become hits and are still remembered fondly by fans today.

When asked that if you ever regretted saying no to any film that became a massive hit at a recent event, the Krrish actor said, "I said no to Dil Chahta Hai and 3 Idiots. I think Aamir Khan was the right choice. It had a destiny." His statement reflects not just humility but also an understanding of how things eventually fall into place the way they are meant to. He said that the cast made those films iconic.

3 Idiots

While Dil Chahta Hai (2001), directed by Farhan Akhtar, became a cult classic for redefining friendship in modern India, 3 Idiots (2009), directed by Rajkumar Hirani, was a game-changer in its own right with its strong message about education and following one’s passion. Both films featured Aamir Khan in lead roles and earned critical as well as commercial success. 3 Idiots went on to become the first Bollywood movie to cross 150 crore and 200 crore mark. Sometimes, the roles we don't take shape our journey just as much as the ones we do.

War 2

On the work front, Roshan is gearing up for his next release, War 2, on Independence Day 2025 weekend. After that, he will be seen in Krrish 4 and an untitled pan-India film with Hombale banner.
