According to an insider quoted by Mid-Day, the film offers a powerful role for a young star, and Kartik Aaryan is currently in talks for the lead. "The scale and the emotional complexity of the role is a steal for any young star. So, talks with Kartik have begun," the source revealed. Akshaye Khanna is being considered for a morally grey parallel lead, a role that adds further intrigue to the project. "Rajkumar has been hoping to work with Akshaye for a long time," the insider added.

At the moment, Akshaye is busy shooting the final leg of Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar, while Kartik has just wrapped up his romantic comedy with Ananya Panday. He is also set to return to the sets of Anurag Basu’s musical, which is slated for a summer 2026 release. Once that wraps, Kartik is expected to begin work on Rajkumar’s film.
This will mark the first ever collaboration of new star Kartik and seasoned actor Akshaye on the big screen and this is surely a solid combo. The film will be produced by T-Series Films, who have worked with Kartik for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Anurag Basu's upcoming romantic film with Sreeleeela.
