Ground Zero had a disappointing weekend, which was expected given the low buzz surrounding the film before its release. The Emraan Hashmi starrer couldn't collect enough to maintain any hopes for weekdays, and it seems like game over for the film already.

Emraan Hashmi's Ground Zero Opens to Poor Collections on Day One

Ground Zero opened with Rs. 1.20 crore nett on Friday, marking a low start. The film showed a 60% jump on Saturday, but that wasn't sufficient for survival since the opening day numbers were too low. A jump of 100% or more would have given it a fighting chance, though. Now, the war action flick had minimal growth on Sunday, extinguishing all hopes for a long run. In the best-case scenario, the movie should aim to cross the 10 crore nett mark in its lifetime run, as the next weekend will feature Raid 2, and Ground Zero will not have enough screens to hold. A double-digit figure is possible if the film can sustain itself in the second weekend at low levels.
