FIR registered in Chhaava Online Piracy case:
Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava is doing a roaring business at the box office. Amid the stunning box office success, the film became a victim of online piracy as the HD print was leaked online. This isn't the first time in Bollywood, but Maddock Films took it seriously and hired an anti-piracy agency to handle this matter legally. According to the latest reports, an FIR has been registered against the online piracy of the film.

This Laxman Utekar's directorial was deliberately leaked online through pirated websites, and the number of links surged to an astounding figure of around 1800. This is a significant number for any film that is achieving great business at the box office and must have reduced a substantial number of footfalls as well. Thus, Maddock decided to take legal action and flagged over 1800 links.

The complaint was filed by Rajat Rahul Haksar, the CEO of an anti-piracy agency, August Entertainment. Following the complaint, a case has been registered at the South Cyber Police Station under CR No. 23/2025 for offenses under Sections 316(2) and 308(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), alongside Sections 51, 63, and 65A of the Copyright Act, Section 6AA of the Cinematograph Act, 1952 (Amendment 2023), and Sections 43 and 66 of the Information Technology Act, according to a report by ANI.
