FIR Filed For Shooting Dhurandhar 2 With Drone:

Filming for the highly anticipated Bollywood sequel Dhurandhar 2 ran into trouble in South Mumbai after police registered an FIR related to drone use during the shoot. The Mumbai Police took action when a drone was reportedly operated without the proper permissions in a high-security area of the city.

The case was filed on February 1 at the MRA Marg police station under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which deals with knowingly disobeying lawful orders. The FIR names the film’s location manager, Rinku Rajpal Valmiki, as the accused. Police said the crew used a drone to capture footage without obtaining the required authorisation for aerial filming.

The incident occurred in South Mumbai’s Fort area, a location considered sensitive due to its proximity to important government buildings and financial institutions. Drone use in such zones is strictly regulated, and authorities said the team had permission to shoot on the ground but not for flying drones.

At the time of the incident, the full crew, including actor Sanjay Dutt, was reportedly present on set. Police intervened after spotting the drone in operation and ordered the shoot to be stopped. The location manager was questioned by officials, and although he was later allowed to leave, the FIR remains active.

The Dhurandhar 2 team has not yet issued an official statement about the FIR. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film stars Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khana, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun and Arjun Rampal. It will be released in March 2026.
