In an exclusive interaction with us, she opened up about her work experience, role, and a few other details. Read the highlights below:
Question: So Irra, how does it feel to debut in the biggest cinema industry in India, i.e., Bollywood?
Irra Mor: It feels like getting fruits after putting years of effort with no knowledge and helping hand around in the industry. It's a long way to go but I am happy to start with something sensible and entertaining.Question: Tell us something about the project and how did you come on board?
Irra Mor: This is a story of a super cop from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, who is known for his case hunting in a very interesting way, played by Randeep Sir. I am part of his team and the only female cop in it. We are showing how difficult it is even for a cop to make her place and mark. I can't really say a lot beyond this. My manager told me about this project and I met Neeraj Pathak Sir. I gave 3 auditions for this role and then I was selected.Question: What kind of role is it?
Irra Mor: It is a cop role for the world, but what about all the situations this girl goes through? Her story revolves around that.Question: What was the most attractive thing about your character that convinced you to accept the role?
Irra Mor: That it is unconventional to work in an environment where the majority is male and even being a cop, what all she goes through.Question: Randeep Hooda is one of the most talented actors in Bollywood. How was the experience of being with him on sets, and did he help you as you were a debutant?
Irra Mor: I have always admired him as an actor, for his expertise in movies and the kinds of roles he has played. I jumped when i came to know that I would be sharing the screen with Randeep Sir. My jatt love is always there for him. Also, I left one of the major roles in the series to work with him and to share even the small amount of screen space with him, as that role wasn't with Randeep Sir. Sir is very particular on the sets and will have a check on you if we are looking the way we should be or not. And even though he would always suggest while we were performing, also he wouldn't mind tying the shoelaces and to even correct our caps while we are in the frame which just blew my mind.Question: Having worked in the South industries and now in the Hindi industry, what differences did you notice while being on the sets with different crews at work?
Irra Mor: It's all the same. We are all humans. The only difference is the language.Question: What do you think about South Actresses coming into Bollywood and leaving a mark, as you are one of the latest additions to the list?
Irra Mor: It always makes our doors widen and gives us various chances to perform in different languages and to connect with different audiences, and of course, take their love from different locations. So it's a win-win situation for us.Question: There has always been negative talk about the cinema industry, be it Bollywood or South cinema industries. As an artist, how do you look at the negativity spread by a certain section?
Irra Mor: Negativity is everywhere. It depends how you deal with it. I choose to ignore and be myself. Having said that, doesn't mean that one has to keep mum. It is very important to speak up and even shout or scold whenever it is required.Question: Tell us something about your future projects and what kinds of roles you want to explore?
Irra Mor: I have more Telugu and Tamil projects in my hands, and I will be seen more as being myself and also being a sweet south girl. In Hindi, I have one more series to be released, which will be this year only.
