This brings its total opening weekend estimate to around $65 million, falling short of expectations. That's a massive down for a big budget film like this.

The film's production budget is reported to be between $180 million and $200 million , making its current earnings insufficient to cover costs. Trade suggest that the film would need to gross at least $500 million worldwide to achieve profitability, which seems impossible with this kind of flop start.

In India, Tron Ares has struggled to attract audiences. The film will struggle to make 5 crore in lifetime run, becoming a major disaster. This wasn't surprising though. The two-day total stands at around 1.40-1.50 crore nett approx.
