Hyderabad Police have registered a case against actress Dimple Hayathi and her husband David following serious allegations made by their domestic worker. The case was filed after the 22-year-old woman, identified as Priyanka Bibar from Rayagada district of Odisha, approached the Filmnagar police station with a complaint.

According to reports, Priyanka came to Hyderabad on September 22 seeking employment through a placement agency, Sri Sai Goodwill Service. She was employed as a househelp at the couple’s residence in Vamsiram’s Westwood Apartment, Shaikpet, on the same day.

In her complaint, Priyanka alleged that she faced continuous harassment after joining work. She claimed she was not given proper food, was frequently humiliated, and was insulted with derogatory remarks. Matters escalated on September 29 when a heated argument reportedly broke out. Priyanka alleged that both Dimple and David verbally abused her, threatened to harm her parents, and tried to prevent her from recording the confrontation.

She further stated that David snatched her phone, smashed it, and attempted to assault her during the altercation. She also claimed her clothes were torn in the scuffle and that she managed to escape with the help of her agency representative before approaching the police.

Adding to the seriousness of the case, Priyanka alleged that there was an attempt to record her in compromising situations. Following her complaint, the police registered a case under Sections 74, 79, 351(2), and 324(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

The investigation is currently underway, and the authorities are verifying the claims. Neither Dimple Hayathi nor her husband has issued an official statement so far. The case has drawn significant attention due to the serious nature of the allegations and the involvement of a well-known actress.
