The 41-year-old woman, who worked as a domestic worker in the homes of various industry professionals before meeting Khan, claimed she first came into contact with him in 2015. According to her complaint, Khan allegedly promised to marry her and, based on that assurance, repeatedly forced himself on her over the years. The alleged incidents reportedly occurred both at her residence in Malwani and at Khan’s home in Versova, a western suburb of Mumbai.

When Khan allegedly refused to fulfill his marriage promise, the woman approached the Versova police earlier this month and lodged a formal complaint. Because the first alleged assault occurred in the jurisdiction of the Malvani police, the case was registered there as a zero FIR, and an investigation is now underway.
