Avatar Fire and Ash India Box Office:

James Cameron’s Avatar Fire and Ash is finding it tough to hold its ground at the Indian box office as Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar continues its unstoppable run. Despite being the third film in one of the biggest global franchises, Avatar 3 has delivered a noticeably lower opening compared to its predecessor in India.

Avatar Fire and Ash

Avatar Fire and Ash Underperforming in India:

On Day 1 (Friday), Avatar: Fire and Ash collected around ₹18 crore nett in India. The film saw some growth on Saturday with ₹22 crore nett, taking its two-day total to approximately ₹40 crore nett. While the jump on Day 2 is positive, the overall numbers remain underwhelming when placed alongside Avatar: The Way of Water.

For comparison, Avatar 2 had a massive start in India. It opened with ₹40 crore nett on Friday, followed by ₹40.5 crore nett on Saturday, bringing its two-day total to ₹80.5 crore nett—double the collections of Fire and Ash in the same time frame.

Dhurandhar

Dhurandhar beats Avatar 3:

What makes the situation more striking is the dominance of Dhurandhar, even in its third week. The Aditya Dhar directorial, featuring a powerhouse ensemble led by Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan and Arjun Rampal, collected ₹21 crore on its third Friday, which is higher than Avatar 3’s opening day in India. On third Saturday, Dhurandhar surged further with an impressive ₹34 crore, comfortably surpassing Avatar: Fire and Ash’s Saturday figure of ₹22 crore.

HUGE FALL for Avatar Fire And Ash: James Cameron's Epic Opens Lower Than Half Of Avatar 2 in India –

The contrast highlights how strongly Dhurandhar has connected with Indian audiences. While Avatar Fire and Ash still has the advantage of scale, visuals, and the James Cameron brand, it clearly faces an uphill battle in India as Dhurandhar continues to dominate screens and audience attention.
