With Dhurandhar becoming the talk of the town, actor Dalvinder Saini has been receiving attention for his impactful appearance in the 26/11 sequence. In an exclusive conversation with Movie Talkies, the actor spoke candidly about the film’s success, the emotional weight of portraying a character linked to one of India’s darkest chapters, and director Aditya Dhar’s approach to the sensitive scene.

Reacting to the overwhelming response to Dhurandhar, Dalvinder shared, “It feels incredible. Seeing the film receive so much love and becoming such a big success is truly overwhelming. I feel grateful and proud to be a part of a project that is being appreciated as a piece of powerful cinema.”
Talking about the 26/11 scene, which has been triggering for many viewers, the actor admitted that it affected him deeply as well. He said, “Watching that scene on screen was extremely emotional for me. Even while shooting it, I felt a heaviness because 26/11 is not just an incident, it’s a wound that the entire nation still remembers.”

Reflecting further on the terror attacks, Dalvinder added, “Those events remind us of the pain so many innocent people and brave officers went through. When I saw myself portraying a character connected to such a tragic moment, it brought back the intensity of what happened in real life.”
Sharing his emotional response, he explained, “Even today, thinking about 26/11 brings anger, sadness, and respect—anger for the brutality, sadness for the lives lost, and immense respect for the heroes who fought to protect us.”
Emphasizing the responsibility he felt as an actor, Dalvinder stated, “I felt a big responsibility to handle this scene with honesty and sensitivity, keeping in mind the emotions of the people who lived through that day.”

Speaking about working with director Aditya Dhar, he praised his approach, saying, “Aditya sir guided me with a lot of clarity and patience. He explained every layer of the scene and the mindset required for the character.” He concluded by adding, “His direction helped me understand the tone and sensitivity needed to portray it responsibly.”
