Abhinav Kashyap Calls Salman Khan Gunda:

Filmmaker Abhinav Kashyap, best known for directing Dabangg (2010), has launched a scathing attack on superstar Salman Khan in a candid interview with Screen. Kashyap, who is also the brother of acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, didn’t mince words while describing his experience working with the Bollywood megastar.

“Salman is never involved. He is not even interested in acting, and he hasn’t been since the last 25 years. He does a favour by turning up to work,” Abhinav said, adding that the actor is “more into the power of being a celebrity” than his craft.

The director went on to make even harsher remarks, saying, “He is a gunda (goon). I was not aware of this before Dabangg. Salman badtameez hai, ganda insaan hai (Salman is ill-mannered, he is a bad person).”

Kashyap also accused Salman of being responsible for perpetuating the so-called “star system” in Bollywood. Calling him the “father of the star system,” he stated, “He is from a film family which has been in the industry since 50 years. He continues the process. They are vindictive people. They control the whole process. If you don’t agree with them, they come after you.”

These explosive comments come years after Abhinav exited the Dabangg franchise, with the sequel directed by Arbaaz Khan instead. His statements once again shed light on the longstanding tensions between him and the Khan family.

While Salman Khan has not responded to Abhinav’s fresh attack, the filmmaker’s blunt words have reignited debate around the power dynamics and influence of Bollywood’s star-driven system. Will Salman or his team respond to Kashyap's claims?
