Coolie drops to poor numbers on Monday:
Rajinikanth and Aamir Khan’s Coolie (Hindi), one of the most anticipated releases of the season, is turning out to be a major disappointment at the box office. Despite boasting a star-studded cast and being helmed by a well-known director Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film has failed to connect with audiences.

The movie opened on a decent note, collecting just ₹4 crore on Thursday amid competition with War 2 and Mahavatat Narsimha. A slight improvement was seen on Friday, when it managed ₹6 crore owing to the holiday advantage. However, the momentum quickly faded, with Saturday bringing in only ₹4 crore and Sunday adding ₹4.25 crore. On Monday, the film witnessed a sharp decline, earning a mere ₹1.50 crore. This took the overall total to approximately ₹19.75 crore nett in five days.

These figures are far below expectations for a film of this scale and pedigree. With such a sluggish trend, Coolie (Hindi) is likely heading toward a “Below Average” verdict, and chances of it emerging successful at the box office appear slim.
The underperformance has come as a surprise to many, given the presence of so many superstars. However, weak word of mouth, an outdated treatment, and lack of strong audience engagement seem to have affected its performance.

Unless the film witnesses an extraordinary turnaround in the coming days, Coolie (Hindi) will go down as one of the most underwhelming releases in recent times, proving that even star power cannot guarantee box office success.
