Coolie Hindi Box Office Update:

Rajinikanth’s Coolie may have created huge excitement in Tamil Nadu, but its Hindi version is struggling to leave a mark at the box office. The film, which also features Aamir Khan in a cameo role, has had an average opening weekend in Hindi belts, collecting just ₹18 crore nett in four days.

The breakdown is not encouraging – Thursday opened at ₹4 crore, Friday managed a slight growth to ₹6 crore, but Saturday and Sunday once again dropped to ₹4 crore each. With this, the weekend total stands at ₹18 crore nett, which is well below expectations for a film starring megastar Rajinikanth and Bollywood’s Aamir Khan, even if only in a cameo.

The film also faced the disadvantage of limited screens in the Hindi circuit, but the bigger concern is the lack of audience interest. Despite Rajinikanth’s massive fan following and Aamir Khan’s presence, the film has not been able to generate the kind of buzz required for strong collections. The word of mouth isn't good either, otherwise the jump would have been bigger.

Looking ahead, Coolie (Hindi) is expected to see a noticeable drop during weekdays. Trade estimates suggest the film could end its lifetime run in the ₹30–40 crore nett range, with ₹50 crore looking completely out of reach. Even in the best-case scenario, this is a below-par performance for such a big-ticket film.

At this point, the Hindi version may avoid the “flop” tag and settle for an average verdict, but it is certainly far from being a HIT.
