Christopher Nolan's next titled The Odyssey
Christopher Nolan's forthcoming film has garnered significant attention due to its cast and other factors. There have been many speculations about the title and genre of the film, so the producers have finally announced the official title along with the genre. The studio revealed the film's title as The Odyssey and confirmed that it is based on Homer's epic.
Universal Pictures tweeted:
"Christopher Nolan’s next film ‘The Odyssey’ is a mythic action epic shot across the world using brand-new IMAX film technology. The film brings Homer’s foundational saga to IMAX screens for the first time and opens in theaters everywhere on July 17, 2026."
This new Nolan film features an ensemble cast, and many of them will share the screen for the first time under Nolan's direction. The Odyssey will star Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, and Charlize Theron. Production will begin early next year.
