Bollywood actress Celina Jaitly has stirred headlines after publicly accusing her husband Peter Haag of domestic violence. According to her complaint filed in a Mumbai court this week, she has suffered emotional, physical, sexual and verbal abuse throughout their marriage.

In the petition, Celina has also demanded ₹50 crore as compensation, ₹10 lakh monthly maintenance, and custody or access to their three children — twin boys born in 2012 and another son born in 2017. She claims that her husband forced her to abandon her career and kept her financially dependent, stripping her of dignity and independence.

On social media, the No Entry actress shared a heartfelt note with a photo of herself in a green saree, sitting by a window holding flowers. She prefaced her post with hashtags like “courage” and “divorce,” and wrote: “In the middle of the strongest most turbulent storm of my life I never imagined I would spend fighting alone, without any parents, without any support system.”

She admitted that people she trusted had walked away. “Life stripped everything away … Promises I believed in broke in silence,” she wrote. But she also underlined her inner strength: “It forced me to meet the woman inside me who refuses to die.” Raised as a “soldier’s daughter” with values of courage, discipline and resilience, Celina said she will fight — for her dignity, for her children, and for her brother who is currently detained abroad. Her legal complaint is now pending, with the next hearing scheduled for December 12.
