Bollywood actor Bobby Deol has officially joined the cast of Ali Abbas Zafar’s upcoming action-romance film, which also stars Ahaan Panday in the lead role and Sharvari Wagh as the leading lady. The project, backed by Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films, is set to go on floors in the first quarter of 2026.

According to a report in midday, Bobby Deol’s role in the film will not be a typical villain. A source close to the development shared, “It would be wrong to label him as the antagonist. His character holds an authoritative position, and as the story unfolds, audiences will see several layers to his personality. There are shades of grey that shape his relationship with the hero.”

Director Ali Abbas Zafar and producer Aditya Chopra were clear from the beginning that Bobby’s role should stand apart from his earlier menacing portrayals. Zafar has crafted a strong, larger-than-life character specifically keeping Bobby in mind, adding depth and emotional motivation to his part. The actor reportedly came on board just a week ago.

Meanwhile, Ali Abbas Zafar is gearing up for a recce in England, where a major portion of the film will be shot. The untitled project marks another big collaboration between Zafar and YRF, and it’s expected to combine high-octane action with romance and strong character-driven drama. With Bobby Deol’s dynamic presence and Ahaan Panday’s youthful energy, the film promises an exciting blend of intensity and emotion.
