Haq Opening Weekend:
Yami Gautam Dhar and Emraan Hashmi’s social drama Haq had a slow start at the box office, managing to collect only around ₹9.20 crore nett over its opening weekend.

The film began modestly on Friday with ₹1.85 crore, saw a jump on Saturday with ₹3.35 crore, and added another ₹4 crore on Sunday. While the growth over the weekend was visible, it wasn’t strong enough to indicate solid audience interest. A weekend below ₹10 crore suggests limited traction, especially for a film with notable stars and a socially relevant theme like triple talaq.

With weekdays beginning, Haq now faces its real test today. The Monday collections will determine its hold and overall run. We feel that a ₹15 crore first week is still achievable if the film benefits from the Tuesday ticket offers, but even that won’t guarantee success.

The film’s performance becomes even more crucial as DDPD 2 is set to release next week, posing a major competition for Haq. Unless it shows exceptional weekday stability, the film may struggle to find space at the box office. Despite decent reviews and solid performances by Yami Gautam Dhar and Emraan Hashmi, the film’s niche subject and lack of mass appeal seem to have limited its reach. Directed by Suparn Verma, the film is based on the true story of Shah Bano's triple talaq case. Have a look at our review below:
