Hrithik Roshan's Top Opening Weekends:
Hrithik Roshan’s latest release War 2, co-starring Jr. NTR and Kiara Advani, has taken the lead in his list of top opening weekends. The film, directed by Ayan Mukerji, earned around 98–99 crore nett in its first three days, making it his best weekend so far.
Looking at Hrithik’s top five opening weekends, War (2019) comes second with 92 crore nett. War had scold record opening day for Bollywood. Fighter (2024), directed by Siddharth Anand, stands at number three with 80 crore, which was an underwhelming total, followed by Bang Bang (2014) with 62 crore. The fifth spot is taken by Krrish 3 (2013), which collected 49 crore in its opening weekend on Diwali period.
The numbers show how Hrithik’s films have generally opened well over the years. Action films like War and War 2 have brought in the strongest numbers, while films like Fighter, Bang Bang, and Krrish 3 also managed good starts when they released. Yet, the numbers are somewhat low compared to huge openings like Agneepath, Dhoom 2 and Krrish.
With War 2 now at the top of the list, it adds another decent weekend to Hrithik Roshan’s career. However, he missed a century once again. War missed it by 8 crore, and then Fighter was looking to score that. It didn't happen. Then, War 2 was looking like a sure shot bet for 100 crore+ weekend, or rather, two days total, but it underperformed. Hopefully, his next two will have a dream run and he will get into record books once again.
