War 2 day 3 box office collection:
The much-hyped action entertainer War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR, has had a mixed run at the box office over its first three days. While the film opened decently, its collections have shown significant drops after the initial holiday boost.

War 2 Box office collection:
In the Hindi market, the film had decent at below expectations opening day of ₹28 crore on Thursday. Friday, which was a national holiday, saw collections jump to ₹45 crore. However, the momentum did not sustain on Saturday, despite it also being a Janmashtami holiday. Collections dipped to ₹28 crore, registering nearly a 40% fall compared to Friday. This takes the three-day total of the Hindi version to about ₹101 crore nett.

The Telugu version, where Jr. NTR has a huge following, also faced a noticeable decline after a good start. The film opened with ₹22 crore on Thursday, followed by a steep fall to ₹10 crore on Friday and then further down to ₹6 crore on Saturday. Its three-day total now stands around ₹40 crore nett.

The sudden drops, especially over a holiday weekend, suggest that while War 2 had strong anticipation and star power working in its favor, the word-of-mouth is bad. With Sunday still to go, the film will look to add some stability, but sustaining beyond the first weekend will be crucial for success at the box office and at this moment, it seems unlikely.
