The superhit jodi of Akshay Kumar and filmmaker Priyadarshan is coming back with the upcoming fantasy horror comedy, Bhooth Bangla. The duo is creating a horror comedy that will reflect on black magic, sorcery, and ancient Vedas. A recent report from Mid-day confirmed this with a source, stating that the film will tackle superstitious practices like black magic and curses.

Priyadarshan reveals the common link between Bhooth Bangla and Kantara –

"With Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Priyadarshan not only addressed the myth of spirits, but also highlighted a mental health issue. This time, he will explore black magic, a practice that many in India believe in. The script refers to some of the oldest Vedas while making its case against witchcraft, curses, and sorcery," a source told the portal.

Akshay and the lead actress, Tabu, will soon leave for Hyderabad for the film's climax shoot. "A huge set of a palace has been designed by art director Sabu Cyril at Ramoji Studios for this sequence. The principal cast will be part of the scene that will show Kumar’s magician debunking myths about black magic. Though addressing a serious subject, it will be an entertaining sequence, much like the director achieved with his psychological thriller, Bhool Bhulaiyaa [2007]. After this portion is wrapped up, the unit, along with leads Akshay, Tabu, and Wamiqa, will head to London for the final leg, where they will film a song and some dialogue portions."
