Filmmaker Anurag Basu and actor Kartik Aaryan are all set to kick off the final leg of shooting for their upcoming romantic musical drama. According to reports, the team will resume work right after Ganpati celebrations this month, diving into a 45-day marathon schedule that will bring the film closer to completion.

"The bulk of the film is already shot. Post Ganpati celebrations this month, the team will dive into a 45-day marathon schedule that should take the movie to the finish line" a source told Mid-Day.

The movie was earlier expected to release on Diwali 2025, but the timeline has now shifted. Even Christmas 2025 was speculated as a possible release date, but the delay in filming has ruled that out. Instead, the makers are now aiming for a summer 2026 release.

"It will be a straight shoot with no breaks until Diwali, after which we will head into post-production. As of now, the April 2026 target looks achievable," the source added.

With the release now likely in April 2026, fans will have to wait a little longer, but the buzz around the project suggests it will be worth it. The film stars Sreeleela as the leading lady in her Bollywood debut. It will be interesting to see how this film fares at the box office after the humongous success of Mohit Suri's Saiyaara, who happens to be a pupil of Basu sir.
