Akshay Kumar-Arshad Warsi legal trouble:
Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, who are set to share screen space in the upcoming courtroom drama Jolly LLB 3, have reportedly been dragged into a legal controversy. A Pune court has issued notices to both actors following a complaint that accuses the film of mocking the Indian judiciary.
The complaint was filed by lawyer Wajid Khan Bidkar, who argued that the film portrays the country’s legal system and court proceedings in a disrespectful manner. According to Bidkar, certain scenes in the film show the legal profession in poor light, crossing the line of creative liberty. He further claimed that the movie not only trivialises the court environment but also insults the judiciary itself.

The objection was particularly raised against a scene where judges are allegedly referred to as “mamu,” a sarcastic slang word. The petitioner believes such a depiction undermines the dignity of the judiciary and could mislead the public about the profession.
Taking note of the complaint, the Pune court has asked both Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi to appear before it on September 28. The notices have stirred fresh debate around the limits of cinematic expression when it comes to sensitive institutions like the judiciary.

While Jolly LLB 3 has been one of the most anticipated sequels in recent times, this legal roadblock has put the film in the spotlight even before its release. As of now, neither the actors nor the makers of the film have commented publicly on the matter. This isn't the first time that the two were found in a legal trouble for this film. More updates on the legal proceedings are awaited.
