Ameesha Patel Stuck In Cheque Bounce Case:

Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel has found herself in a legal issue linked to a cheque bounce case from 2017. A court in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, has issued a non-bailable warrant against the Gadar 2 actress after she failed to appear in connection with a long-pending dispute over an event payment.

The case stems from an alleged agreement in 2017, when an event organiser, Pawan Verma, claimed that Patel was booked to perform at a wedding in Moradabad for an advance payment of around ₹14.5 lakh. According to the organiser, Patel did not show up on the scheduled date. Verma has said that ₹10 lakh was returned in cash, but a cheque of ₹4.5 lakh later bounced, leading him to take legal action. The court reportedly issued multiple summons, and when she did not appear, it issued a non-bailable warrant to secure her presence.

In response to the developments, Ameesha Patel released a statement on social media, calling the matter “very old” and saying it had been settled years ago through a settlement deed. She claimed that Verma had signed the agreement and received the full amount, and that the fresh legal action was based on “false allegations.” Patel added that her legal team will initiate criminal proceedings against the complainant for alleged cheating, while she prefers to focus on her work.

The court is said to have asked her to appear by March 27, 2026. If she fails to do so, the legal case could move forward with stricter consequences.
