Akshay Kumar Warns Against Fake AI-Generated Videos:
Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has issued a strong clarification after some fake videos using Artificial Intelligence (AI) began circulating online. The videos show him in the role of Maharishi Valmiki in a film trailer, which he says is completely false.
Sharing a statement on social media, Akshay Kumar said, “I have recently come across some AI-generated videos of a film trailer showing me in the role of Maharishi Valmiki. I want to clarify that all such videos are fake and created using AI.”
He also expressed concern that some media outlets were picking up such manipulated clips and reporting them as news without checking if they were real or altered. “What’s worse, some news channels decide to pick these up as ‘news’ without even verifying if these are real or morphed,” he added.
Highlighting the growing risks of AI misuse, the Jolly LLB 3 stressed the importance of responsible journalism. “In today’s time, when misleading content is being produced at great speed through manipulative AI, I sincerely request media houses to verify and report only after authenticating the information,” he said.
The actor’s post comes at a time when the misuse of AI-generated content has become a major concern worldwide. Experts warn that such manipulated videos can mislead people, damage reputations, and spread misinformation quickly.
Akshay Kumar’s statement is a reminder of how critical it is for both the public and the media to stay alert and double-check facts in the digital age. Recently, many actresses have face similar issues with their fake AI-created videos on social media platforms.
