Sources quoted by Variety India reveal that the actor was keen on doing something completely different within the mainstream space, and Golmaal 5 offered him the perfect opportunity to explore his darker, yet humorous side.

Directed by Rohit Shetty, Golmaal 5 will once again bring back Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu, and Shreyas Talpade, who have become synonymous with the franchise’s chaotic comedy.
