Fans of the popular comedy franchise Welcome have a big reason to celebrate as the makers are reportedly planning a grand reunion for the fourth installment of the series. According to industry sources, Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor, and Paresh Rawal are expected to come together for Welcome 4, bringing back some of the most loved characters from the franchise.

The film will reportedly mark the return of iconic characters Uday Shetty, Majnu Bhai, and Dr. Ghungroo, who became fan favourites in Welcome (2007) and its sequel Welcome Back. Their unique comic timing and memorable dialogues played a major role in making the franchise hugely popular among audiences.

A source close to the production revealed to Midday that filmmaker Firoz A. Nadiadwala and his team have been actively working on the script for Welcome 4. The screenplay is currently in an advanced stage of development, and the makers are carefully crafting the story so that the beloved characters are naturally woven into the narrative while still offering a completely fresh plot.

Interestingly, Paresh Rawal is also part of the upcoming franchise film Welcome to the Jungle. However, sources say he will not reprise the role of Dr. Ghungroo in that project and will instead play a different character.

Another exciting element being planned for Welcome 4 is the introduction of new antagonists. In previous films, actors like Feroz Khan and Naseeruddin Shah played memorable villains. This time, the makers are reportedly in talks with top actors to portray multiple quirky dons who will add humor and chaos to the story.

With its mix of comedy, action, glamour, and beloved characters, Welcome 4 is shaping up to be a major entertainer for fans of the franchise–if made as expected.
