Abhishek Bachchan hilariously takes phone of a journalist:

Abhishek Bachchan recently won the Best Actor award for his movie I Want To Talk at the Indian Film Festival Of Melbourne (IFFM) Awards 2025. While being present at the venue, a huge round of applause followed after Abhishek went to the stage to receive his award. However, prior to the same, his entry at the red carpet was one of the most hilarious moments of the entire festival in Australia.

Abhishek decided to mess around with the media as the moment he marked his presence at the red carpet of the IFFM Awards Night in Melbourne, he walked towards the media and took the phone of a journalist to take a picture. However, Abhishek then signalled to the media section that he was keeping the phone for himself. He pretended to put the phone in his pocket, which instantly made all the journalists covering the event laugh out loud. The “Baby B” then instantly went near the barricade and clicked a picture with all the media representatives, after which, he returned the phone to the journalist.

This funny gesture was one of the major talking points of the red carpet. Unexpected yet hilarious, Abhishek ensured that he entertained all the journalists present. It didn’t end there, as he pulled off a similar prank with the fans as well. When some of the fans asked him to take a selfie, Abhishek took a few mobiles and jokingly pretended to walk away with them and said, “Ok, see you.” Post which, he returned the phones after clicking a few selfies with his fans too.

As far as I Want To Talk is concerned, it was released in theatres in November 2024, and was based on a true story. Abhishek played the role of Arjun Sen, who goes on to survive a cancer diagnosis and multiple surgeries. Despite the poor box office numbers, the Shoojit Sircar-directed film received a lot of positive reviews. Abhishek’s performance in general received a lot of appreciation from the critics.
