Aamir Khan begins his speech in Marathi:

Aamir Khan recently attended Sitaare Zameen Par screening where he surprised many by starting his speech in Marathi. In front of Maharashtra Deputy CM Eknath Shinde and other dignitaries, Aamir began by saying, "मला खूप आनंद होत आहे" (I am very glad that). His gesture came at a time when there is an ongoing debate around the importance and use of the Marathi language. However, the rest of his speech/comments was in Hindi. Watch the video below:
