Vadh 2 Review Movie Talkies:

I’m going to begin this review with a spoiler that might affect your viewing experience — but only if you’ve watched a lot of films in your life. This crime thriller revisits the classic idea that justice may be delayed, but it is never denied — and perhaps it’s better late than never. It reminded me of the old Hollywood classic A Place in the Sun (1951), where a man is punished for a crime he did not commit, yet justice is served because he had earlier escaped punishment for the crime he actually committed. Vadh 2 eventually arrives at a similar moral destination after spending nearly two hours on a fairly predictable narrative, but somehow it manages to stay engaging.

Vadh 2 Story:

The story unfolds through multiple layers and characters that are intriguing, if not always deeply engaging. Constable Shambhunath Mishra (Sanjay Mishra) shares an emotional bond with prisoner Manju Mishra (Neena Gupta), and the two meet secretly at night. A newly appointed officer-in-charge, Prakash Singh (Kumud Mishra), takes charge and promises justice for every prisoner. One night, he gets into a violent altercation with a powerful local goon, brutally assaults him, before the latter disappears the next day. Suspicion falls on Officer Singh, along with several others, but the case goes nowhere. Eleven months later, a dead body is discovered, and the investigation takes a new turn. Who killed the man — and why?

Vadh 2 Film Review:

The film runs for about 130 minutes and has a notably slow start. However, it gradually builds momentum to a point where you hardly notice the interval. The second half is based on a largely predictable setup, but the climax twist manages to leave an impact despite the familiarity. The surprise element may not be shocking, but the theory behind it works effectively. After all, we expect justice to prevail in the end — and that’s where the film scores. The motive is strong; it simply needed sharper execution to reach its full potential. Still, it is far from a misfire or a dull experience. With no songs interrupting the flow, the film relies entirely on conversations and investigations, which keep you seated and attentive.

Vadh 2 Cast:

After Vadh, this is another power-packed performance by Sanjay Mishra. He once again proves his reliability as an actor who fully commits to his role. Neena Gupta delivers a fine performance as well, especially in the killing scene where her expressions stand out remarkably. Credit must also go to the cameraman for capturing those moments effectively. Kumud Mishra performs with his usual sincerity, and it’s rare to see him falter. Yogita Bihani and Shilpa Shukla have limited scope but do well, while Amitt Singh and Akshay Dogra are convincing in their respective roles.

Vadh 2 Movie Review:

On the technical front, Vadh 2 could have been stronger. The modest budget limitations are visible on screen. The sound design lacks depth, and the editing could have been tighter, particularly in the first half hour and at the start of the second half. While the cinematography offers some striking frames, the pacing does not always complement its visual quality. Jaspal Singh Sandhu’s writing, along with his co-writers, presents a serviceable plot that borrows from classic formulas and stage-like storytelling. Yet, it successfully justifies the title — this is not merely “MURDER,” it is “VADH.” We’ve seen such themes before, and the makers are aware of that. Credit to them for presenting it without unnecessary glamour or star power, relying instead on a talented cast that elevates the material. Overall, Vadh 2 is a decent watch and, in my opinion, better than Vadh.
