Sisu Road to Revenge Review
RATING - 3/5*
Sisu Road to Revenge Review Movie Talkies:
Sisu returns with even more brutality than before. The bloodshed is relentless—more killings, more explosions, more gunfights, and more over-the-top entertainment. This installment marks a new high for gore-filled action in the Sisu saga. Certain action sequences nearly reach the intensity and sheer spectacle of Mad Max Fury Road (2015), with fast-paced cuts that keep the audience on edge. For lovers of adrenaline-fueled action, it’s a cinematic thrill that’s impossible to miss.

Sisu Road To Revenge Story:
As for the story, there isn’t much to remember from the prequel; frankly, it was forgettable. The sequel doesn’t stray far from this pattern. The narrative is minimal, focusing on ex-commando Aatami Korpi (Jorma Tommila), who is attempting to rebuild his home while transporting dismantled cargo. His journey is violently interrupted, and in six action-packed chapters, we witness him obliterating every adversary in his path. Red Army Officer Igor Draganov (Stephen Lang) becomes the main obstacle, attempting repeatedly to stop Korpi—but capturing a man “who refuses to die” is far from easy.

Sisu 2 Review:
The screenplay, running close to 90 minutes, maintains relentless momentum with almost no dull moments, aside from the brief setup when the main plot begins. Once Korpi starts his rampage, he doesn’t stop, and neither does the spectacle. The film leans more toward a slasher than a traditional action movie: heads roll, organs are ripped apart, hands are severed in the blink of an eye, and the protagonist survives seemingly impossible situations. Korpi is portrayed as a larger-than-life figure—a superhero without the powers—which pushes some scenes into over-the-top territory, occasionally straining credibility.

Sisu Road To Revenge Cast:
Despite these extremes, Sisu: Road to Revenge remains thoroughly engaging and undeniably massy. Jorma Tommila’s portrayal of Korpi is unforgettable, while Stephen Lang delivers a chilling, formidable villain. Their climactic face-off is a masterclass in tension, with moments like Lang’s “Any last words?” followed by Korpi’s blunt, spitting reply, creating a uniquely darkly humorous peak.

Sisu Road To Revenge Movie Review:
Director Jalmari Helander unapologetically prioritizes explosive action over logic or storyline, and it works—this over-the-top extravaganza is worth experiencing if you don’t mind suspending disbelief. In short, Sisu Road to Revenge is an unapologetically violent, high-octane thrill ride. Watch it for the chaos, the carnage, and the sheer audacity—just don’t expect much logic.
