Singham Again Review Movie Talkies:

Rohit Shetty is back with the 5th film of his cop-universe, Singham Again. The Ajay Devgn-led action drama runs with Ramayana parallels and tries to bring authenticity through its characters and events. Thankfully, most of them fit well, situationally. More than the masses, it's for the young generation who is 24x7 busy on mobile and aren't really aware of our culture and epics.

Singham Again

As you all know from the trailer, the film is a modern-day restoration of the Ramayana, as a similar tale and events happen with Bajirao Singham (Ajay Devgn) and his wife, Avni (Kareena Kapoor), who now works in the cultural ministry. 2 years after Singham captures Omar (Jackie Shroff), Danger Lanka, aka Zubair (Arjun Kapoor), kidnaps Avni, and every member of Singham's special force, Shiva Force, tries to stop the raavana of this tale. Will they all be enough?

Singham Again

Kshitij Patwardhan's story somehow fits well with Ramayana references, but the episodic screenplay could have been better. The dialogues work fine for the masses, as we have Bajirao Singham leading the seminar for us. "Singham ka har office uska gurur hai," "Bajirao Singham khada hota hai toh public sitiya Marti hai," "Ahankar," and some comedy punches from Ranveer Singh land well to make the public clap.

Singham Again

Ajay Devgn has become a little serious this time, but he gets aggressive whenever the script demands. It's a lot like Lord Rama, the Maryada Purushottam, the sober and honest warrior. Ranveer Singh creates many LOL moments as Simmba. Many punchlines and PJs go in his kitty, and the audience was on a laugh ride whenever he was on the screen. Tiger Shroff gets a massy entry in the cop universe as Satya, while Kareena Kapoor as mature Avni was decent. Deepika Padukone's lady Singham was below par, whereas Shweta Tiwari hardly got anything to do. Shetty provides a perfect prelude to Akshay Kumar, aka Sooryavanshi's entry, and he literally blasts on the screen. Salman Khan, aka Dabangg, makes a surprising cameo in the end, and we hope to see a new journey in the future.

Singham Again

Singham Again is a mega-mass-action flick as Shetty brings several superstars together after so many years. It's been ages since we have seen 5-6 Bollywood stars coming together in an action flick, so we can say that Singham Again has set the bar high. The mass elevation of cop characters with Ramayana's feeding looks grand and spiritually satisfactory. The film doesn't have any romantic or dramatic songs, so the screenplay looks pacy. The Singham Title song and Ram Ram are situational songs, so there are no loo breaks as such.

Singham Again

Rohit Shetty's cop-universe gets bigger and more lavish than it was before. Ajay, Ranveer, Akshay, Tiger, Kareena, and Deepika have been brought together for a reason. You need a big reason to bring so many superstars together, and Ramayana has to be the biggest reason anyone could think of. Rohit is known for his action scenes and car explosions, and you get plenty of them here. Singham Again is served as a proper Dilwali Dhamaka in every aspect, be it storyline, dialogues, cast, action, drama, Ramayana's backdrop, and blockbuster entertainment. The technical aspects are also fine. As a whole, Singham Again is a massy treat that brings back the historic heroic cinema we have been missing for sometime in Bollywood. Go, enjoy your Diwali and the fireworks on the big screen with team Singham Again.
