Param Sundari Review Movie Talkies:
Maddock Films’ latest offering Param Sundari is a colorful rom-com that brings back the classic charm of romance, laughter, and emotions in a refreshing way. With handsome Sidharth Malhotra and gorgeous Janhvi Kapoor leading the show, the film ensures a vibrant cinematic experience.
The perfect mix of romance, comedy, and family drama keeps it engaging for audiences of all age groups, making it a wholesome entertainer for the festive season.
Param Sundari Story:
The story revolves around Param (Sidharth Malhotra), a Delhi boy and failed investor, who heads to Kerala in search of a soulmate. He plans to test an innovative path-breaking app that promises to match people through an algorithm. There he meets Sundari (Janhvi Kapoor) and instantly feels drawn to her. Their vibes click, their choices align, and their bond grows stronger each day. Just when Param is ready to propose to her, confident that the app’s prediction was correct, he is shaken by the shocking news of Sundari’s marriage being fixed elsewhere. Left with only ten days, Param must win her back and prove that love is more powerful than destiny or digital predictions. Will he succeed, or will fate take a different turn? The film’s emotional beats rest on this core question.
Param Sundari thrives on its simplicity. The narrative doesn’t try to reinvent the wheel, but that very simplicity makes it effective. The stunning Kerala landscapes and the cultural crossover between a Delhi boy and a traditional Malayali girl bring vibrancy and freshness to the storytelling.
Bagh Bahadur (1989) Review: An absolute masterclass by Buddhadev Dasgupta and Pavan Malhotra in a genuinely human story.
The screenplay is light, breezy, and filled with comical moments that add flavor without feeling overdone. The first half is particularly impressive, with breathtaking visuals and playful banter between the leads. The second half leans more on emotions, drama, and heartfelt romance, striking a balance that keeps the film engaging throughout.
Param Sundari Cast:
Performance-wise, Sidharth Malhotra owns the film. His entry scene is stylish—showing his fit physique and charming screen presence—and from there he never misses a beat. His performance carries the energy and charisma expected of a Bollywood romantic hero, ticking every box from charm to emotional depth.
Janhvi Kapoor matches him beautifully. Her opening appearance in a traditional saree is mesmerizing, and as the film progresses, she brings out multiple shades of Sundari—graceful, funny, vulnerable, and determined. Together, the chemistry between Sidharth and Janhvi sparkles and becomes the film’s biggest strength. The accent could have been worked out better though.
The supporting cast lends able contributions. Manjot Singh provides comic relief at the right intervals, Renji Panicker leaves an impression in his limited role, while Siddhartha Shankar, Sanjay Kapoor, and Inayat Verma give decent support, though their characters aren’t deeply fleshed out. Still, they add value to the storytelling without distracting from the central love story.
Param Sundari Movie Review:
On the technical front, the film delivers well. The music album is a winner, with Pardesiya standing out as one of the most soulful romantic tracks of the year, and Danger adding a fun, foot-tapping vibe suited for the festive season. Santhana Krishnan Ravichandran’s cinematography captures Kerala’s beauty with a poetic touch, giving the film a dreamy visual appeal.
Manish Pradhan’s editing ensures the pace remains lively, though a few sequences—particularly in the sports portions—feel stretched. Still, it never drags enough to test your patience. The dialogues are crisp, sprinkled with humor and pop-culture references to Mohanlal, Allu Arjun, Rajinikanth, Yash, Baazigar, and the evergreen Yeh Dil Deewana song, all of which land effectively and bring delightful laughter.
Director Tushar Jalota steers the film with a steady hand. His storytelling is not groundbreaking, but it is heartfelt, and he manages to keep the narrative wholesome and entertaining. A tighter runtime by 10–15 minutes would have sharpened the experience, but the overall package still works wonderfully.
Sidharth Malhotra Opens Up About Fatherhood: “Main Abhi Supporting Actor Play Kar Raha Hoon” –
What makes Param Sundari stand out is its fresh take on Gen-Z romance—where apps and algorithms attempt to shape love lives, yet the film reminds us that real connections go far beyond technology.
Like every Maddock production, Param Sundari delivers family entertainment with the right mix of romance, comedy, music, and emotions. It is a film you can enjoy with friends, family, or loved ones, and it guarantees value for your ticket and popcorn. Simple, soothing, and heartwarming, Param Sundari is easily one of the most enjoyable rom-coms of the season.
