Game Changer Review Movie Review:

Ram Charan returns to the big screen after portraying a larger-than-life hero in RRR (2022) with Game Changer. This marks his first film with director Shankar, who is known for his groundbreaking films like Indian, Anniyan, and Endhiran. The duo brings a massy bonanza filled with substance and class. Game Changer is more than just a watchable flick, especially due to Ram Charan's seeti-maar triple treat.

Game Changer

Ram Charan plays the main protagonist named Ram Nandan, who is an IAS officer. He is newly appointed in Visakhapatnam and is famous for his honesty and dedication to his work. The major force opposing him is Bobbili Mopidevi (SJ Suryah), the son of Chief Minister Sathyamurthy (Srikanth), who is involved in illegal activities. As expected, Mopidevi plans to undermine Ram with false charges. His dreams are shattered when the CM proposes Ram as his successor for the chair. The rest of the plot follows the battle between these two, which has a strong political connection. Who will win in the end?

Game Changer

We have seen Ram Charan's massy avatars in RRR and Rangasthalam—two of his most acclaimed and recent films—but Game Changer is different. Not that it isn't massy or anything like that, but it's far from regular action extravaganzas. The idea of a political fight escalating into violence while also incorporating corporate elements is quite new for our audiences, and that's where Game Changer wins you over.

Game Changer

The conversations between RC and Suryah are what stand out in the film. There is a lot of action—I mean, that "fear me" kind of action—to take the masses by storm, but the major victory lies in the cat-and-mouse game between these two unstoppable forces. RC's seeti maar dialogues and clap-worthy replies will entertain you splendidly. Moreover, the background score adds even more excitement to those scenes.

Performance-wise, Ram Charan leads the show like no one else. He is the driving force, taking full responsibility for that without losing a moment of his glorious screen presence. The mall scene, the pre-interval block, and the climax are all those moments you can cherish.

Game Changer

SJ Suryah stands second best after RC. His buildup scene against Ram showcases his acting talent and the power of his expressions. Kiara Advani looks beautiful, as any heroine should, and Anjali does well in her role. Samuthirakani and Srikanth are just passable, and the rest of the supporting cast is adequate.

Game Changer has decent music, and the songs look visually appealing on the big screen. The cinematography, editing, and sound design are just okay, contributing to a theatrical experience. Shankar returns to mass cinema with style and substance, and Game Changer is precisely what he must have aimed for.

Game Changer

Overall, Game Changer is all about Ram Charan's mass mixed with class, making for a good theatrical experience in the new year and during Sankranti. Go for it.
