Do Deewane Seher Mein Review Movie Talkies:

Siddhant Chaturvedi and Mrunal Thakur team up for a cute romantic tale that feels relatable because of its simplicity. However, the film lacks substantial conflict to sustain the narrative and make the drama truly work.

Do Deewane Seher Mein

Do Deewane Seher Mein Core:

The film is clearly aimed at urban audiences, as it deals with anxiety issues in the corporate world. The core theme revolves around low self-confidence—if you can't love yourself, how can you love your partner? Both characters struggle with the same issue and eventually overcome it—as expected—but does that make for a solid script? No.

Do Deewane Seher Mein Story:

Do Deewane Seher Mein follows Shashank (Siddhant Chaturvedi), a marketing executive who has trouble pronouncing the word “श.” He lacks the confidence to deliver presentations despite having strong potential, and this fear consistently overshadows his abilities.

He meets Roshani (Mrunal Thakur), a fashion content writer who is emotionally withdrawn from the world. Shashank instantly agrees to an arranged marriage with Roshani, but she initially refuses. They begin meeting frequently and gradually grow close. Eventually, they become comfortable with the idea of marriage—but their personal insecurities start creating friction between them. Will they be able to resolve their issues?

Do Deewane Seher Mein Film Review:

DDSM runs a little over two hours and remains engaging in parts. The problem is that several moments feel unnecessarily stretched, and the songs only add to the sluggish pacing. After a point, the film begins to feel mildly boring because there is no major twist or conflict to surprise the audience.

Khel Khel Mein (1975) Review: One of the early youthful comedy thrillers in Bollywood

Do Deewane Seher Mein

This happens with many love stories, but here the issue becomes more pronounced because the film is set in an urban space and avoids any massy treatment. As a local Mumbaikar—or even as a migrant—many viewers will relate to the characters’ struggles, but beyond a certain point, the narrative slips into familiar and dated emotional drama.

Do Deewane Seher Mein Cast:

Siddhant Chaturvedi carries much of the film with his innocent expressions, but are they enough? Perhaps not. His character arc feels underdeveloped. If his lack of confidence is so severe, how did he secure a marketing executive job despite struggling with fluent speech? That becomes a noticeable drawback in both writing and character graph.

Do Deewane Seher Mein

Mrunal Thakur plays a woman who hides herself from glamour and attention after a past breakup. Relatable? Somewhat. But the idea of her constantly hiding behind oversized glasses feels exaggerated and doesn’t fully convince. Any mature woman would likely possess at least basic confidence—or else avoid social exposure altogether. She looks cute, no doubt; the glasses, her expressions, and overall innocence work visually. However, performance-wise, she could have delivered more depth.

The supporting cast—including Ayesha Raza, Joy Sengupta, Ila Arun, Sandeepa Dhar, Deepraj Rana, Mona Ambegaonkar, Achint Kaur, and Naveen Kaushik—does a fairly decent job.

Kennedy Review: A Shady and Uninteresting Take On Corruption and The System

DDSM would have benefited from a stronger music album; the current soundtrack contributes to the film’s slow patches. The cinematography captures Mumbai beautifully, and the production design is serviceable. Editing could have been sharper, though the dialogues—especially the comic exchanges—work in moments.

Do Deewane Seher Mein Movie Review:

Ravi Udyawar’s attempt at a city-based romantic drama doesn’t bring much novelty, and perhaps that’s why the film fails to reach its full potential. Anxiety issues, antisocial behavior, racism in the fashion industry, body shaming of married women, and breakup trauma—these themes have been explored repeatedly over time. Maybe audiences have had enough of this familiar mix.

Still, the film remains watchable due to its relatability to Mumbai’s working youth culture. Beyond that, however, it offers little that feels fresh. In one word: Average.
