De De Pyaar De 2 Review
RATING - ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ✨ 3.5/5*
De De Pyaar De 2 Review Movie Talkies:
De De Pyaar De 2 arrives six years after the first film and brings back the same charm, humour, and sweet messiness that made the original enjoyable. The first movie stood out for tackling an age-gap romance with maturity and fun, and the sequel continues that journey with new conflicts, new faces, and a whole lot of laughter.

De De Pyaar De 2 Story:
This time, Ayesha (Rakul Preet Singh) and Ashish (Ajay Devgn) are ready to move forward in their relationship. But one big barrier stands in their way — Ayesha’s father, Rajji (R. Madhavan), who cannot accept that his daughter wants to marry a man almost his age. His shock and resistance kick-start the film’s central conflict, leading to plenty of emotional and comic moments.

Things get even more interesting when Sameer (Meezaan Jafri) enters the story. He’s young, good-looking, and instantly wins over Ayesha’s father. Suddenly, Ashish finds himself pushed aside, insecure, and trying to fight for the woman he loves. The love triangle brings out the film’s funniest scenes as awkward confrontations, jealous reactions, and family drama take over.

The sequel cleverly reverses the dynamic from the first film — earlier, Ayesha had to face Ashish’s ex-wife, but now Ashish must deal with a younger rival. This twist brings freshness to the narrative and keeps the audience guessing until the final act, which wraps up the story in a warm and satisfying way.

De De Pyaar De 2 Cast:
Rakul Preet Singh delivers one of her best performances. She balances emotion, frustration, and charm with ease. Her expressive monologues feel heartfelt and honest. Ajay Devgn, even with slightly lesser screen time, leaves a strong mark. His calm humor, signature expressions, and a hilarious Singham spoof are guaranteed crowd-pleasers. R. Madhavan is a delightful addition. It’s refreshing to see him in a comedic space, and he blends beautifully into the film’s world. Meezaan Jafri also does well and holds his own against the senior actors. The supporting cast, including Javed Jaffrey, Suhasini Mulay, and Ishita Dutta, adds colour to the storytelling.

The film also sparkles because of its playful dialogues and pop culture references. Lines like “Ye saala Paapa word hi Paap se shuru hota hai,” along with fun nods to Shaitaan, Shah Rukh Khan, DDLJ, and even Singham, create laugh-out-loud moments that audiences will instantly connect with. These references feel natural, not forced, and add to the overall entertainment.

De De Pyaar De 2 Movie Review:
Technically, the film looks bright and vibrant, matching its cheerful tone. The music works well, though a couple of songs slow the momentum. The editing keeps things smooth, especially in the first half, which is packed with quick-witted scenes. The second half leans more towards emotion but never loses its humour.

What makes the sequel shine is its gentle handling of modern relationships. It talks about age differences, family expectations, and acceptance without turning preachy. The message is simple — love is complicated, but it’s also worth fighting for.

Director Anshul Sharma maintains the heart of the franchise while giving it a fresh spin. His mix of humour and emotion feels balanced and easy to watch. Overall, De De Pyaar De 2 is a warm, funny, and thoroughly enjoyable family entertainer. It may not be perfect, but it leaves you smiling, laughing, and thinking — and that’s exactly what a good rom-com should do.
