Bagheera Review Movie Talkies:

Dr. Suri creates an Indian superhero film with the same old theme as Amitabh Bachchan's Shehenshaah, in which a police officer must adopt a new identity to bring justice and punish criminals. In the Big B's action flick, the officer is quite funny and childish, making him the exact opposite of his other role. For a change, here the officer is honest and courageous, but the system ties his hands and renders him helpless. To counter this, he dons the mask of Bagheera and does what the police should have done, albeit more brutally.

Bagheera

Somewhere midway, he realizes that his human techniques and powers are insufficient, so he decides to seek help from technology. That's what Batman did. Bagheera hires a hacker, a bomb maker, and a kid who can create an electric shock weapon to aid him in defeating his opponents.

Bagheera

We are all familiar with Christopher Nolan's classic superhero film, The Dark Knight, where Batman must choose between his girlfriend and another man. Dr. Suri recreates that scene here, but with different layers. Bagheera pays a similar price as Batman (losing Rachael) and then seeks revenge. The film has that KGF touch, as if producer Prashanth Neel himself wanted to impose those black frames, non-linear edits, and fast-paced cuts to build the narrative. That's definitely not Dr. Suri.

Bagheera

Unlike the near-classic Minnal Murali, this film focuses more on mass action, social messages, and emotions than on human tension and intellectual fight between good and bad. Frankly, we have experienced all that for years, which is why Minnal Murali stands out as probably the best superhero film in India. Bagheera doesn’t attempt to be that; rather, it is content in its own KGF-style world—full of action and swag. Well, that's what most audiences enjoy nowadays, so yes, Bagheera is enjoyable. You can certainly give it a watch to see Batman merging with Shehenshaah in a typical Kannada action movie world, and yes, there are a moment or two that elevate it a notch higher.
