publive-imageThe trailer for Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan's family comedy, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, was at an event today. Producer Dinesh Vijan and the cast members of the film were present, while the director had to skip the event due to a personal emergency. Check out the trailer below:

Zara Hatke Zara Bachke's trailer lacks Hatke elements, for sure. The trailer starts with Pankaj Tripathi's narration, as he calls the scenario a Hrishikesh Mukherjee type of film (such audacity). We have a couple, Kapil and Soumya, trying to get a divorce (it's visibly fake, but still). Does that make for a unique story? I doubt it.publive-imageThe trailer leaks several USP factors that should have been kept hidden for a while, but most importantly, it lacks quirky one-liners and humour. For instance, "Tum koi Kareena ke Chachi ki ladki nahi," doesn't bring any gags. Just replace Kareena with Katrina, and then imagine the dialogue coming from Vicky's mouth. It would have brought much better humour. Basic mistakes like this have taken the lustre away from the trailer, and that too in times when only event films or controversial films are working.
