Bollywood legends Yash Chopra and Rajesh Khanna will receive the Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Awards posthumously on April 30, this year.
Veteran singer Asha Bhosle too will be honoured at the ceremony and will be conferred with Phalke Ratna Award, for her immense contribution to the Indian music industry.
Late Yash Chopra, who breathed his last on October 21, 2012, will be honoured with the Iconic Filmmaker award and his wife Pamela Chopra will receive the Saraswatibai Phalke Award.
Rajesh Khanna, who passed away in July 2012, will be honoured as the first superstar of the Indian Cinema. Khanna’s son-in-law Akshay Kumar will be conferred with the Best Actor award for his performance in Rowdy Rathore and the late superstar's estranged wife Dimple Kapadia will get the Phalke Ever Memorable Actor award.
While Gangs Of Wasseypur star Manoj Bajpayee will be presented with the Phalke Excellent Performance award, Paan Singh Tomar star Irrfan Khan will get the Phalke Memorable Performance award.
Veteran actor Prem Chopra will receive the Phalke Senior Actor (negative ) award and Mala Sinha will be given the Phalke Icon Cine Artiste award. Govinda will be honoured with the Phalke Versatile Actor award, while actor-composer Himesh Reshammiya will get the Phalke Best Supporting Actor award for Khiladi 786.
Arjun Kapoor, who made his acting debut YRF’s Ishaqzaade, will be conferred with the Phalke Debut Actor award.
The 13th Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Awards will be held on April 30, in Mumbai.
