Women's Commission Objects To Toxic Obscene Bold & Intimate Scenes:

The upcoming pan-India film Toxic A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, starring Yash, has come under scrutiny after the Karnataka State Commission for Women (KSWC) received a formal objection regarding alleged obscene and bold intimate scenes shown in its teaser.

On January 12, the women’s wing of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) lodged a complaint with the KSWC expressing concern over visuals in the teaser. The party said some scenes, released in the public domain without age warnings, could harm the social well-being of women and children.

In its representation, AAP state secretary Usha Mohan claimed the intimate moments “degrade the dignity of women” and “insult Kannada culture”. The complaint also argued that the teaser’s images, including a brief moment inside a car featuring Yash and a female character, might have an adverse impact on minors and society at large.

Following the objection, the Karnataka State Women’s Commission wrote to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) asking for “appropriate action.” The letter requested the board to examine the content and respond with an action-taken report according to rules.

The makers of Toxic have not yet publicly responded to the controversy. The film, directed by Geetu Mohandas and co-written with Yash, is set to release on March 19, 2026, and features a star-studded cast including Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and others.
