It seems Mallika Sherawat is in real mood for some fun and turning tables on the ones asking questions. No wonder, she can be seen pulling legs of everyone around her. Though she understands the meaning of KLPD in the film's context that it stands for Kismet Love Paisa Dilli, she feigns ignorance when asks if she was comfortable with the slang.

Really Mallika, weren't you a bit worried to have KLPD as your film's name?
(Says in mock exasperation) Come on, now don't go there again. Really, I don't know why everyone is asking me about this. To begin with, the film's title was Gyaarah Chaalis Ki Last Local when I had signed it. In fact it was only later when I was in Los Angeles that I was told about the revised title being Kismet Love Paisa Dilli. I was okay with that too. Later when I came to India and saw the poster design, I realised the short form as KLPD. When I could see everyone smiling, I asked everyone from Vivek Oberoi, Sanjay Khanduri to Amit Chandra about its meaning but they just laughed.
Come on, it is impossible to believe that you haven't really heard the slang...
(Laughs) I haven't actually. In fact I even went on Google but couldn't find details. Later even on Twitter when I asked my fans about this, they just went 'he he he'. Achcha you tell me, what does it mean? Can you explain? (winks)
Guess that's embarrassing enough so time to ask to next question. The perception about KLPD is that the film is an adult comedy in the offering. Is that the case?
I really don't think that it is an adult comedy. The movie reflects a very North Indian collage with colours and flavour of the region. The film may sound like an adult comedy but that's the way young boys talk and it is their thought process. The movie has stayed very close to the script. There is one scene where all these Jats want to celebrate Ashutosh Rana's birthday and offer me to him by saying Madam ka moonh meetha karao, aaj woh maa banne waali hai. It could have been cringe worthy but is made to sound funny here.
While KLPD is an ensemble affair, there are so many female centric and concept oriented films being made today. Doesn't your heart pine to do something on those lines?
Of course it does. When you see films like Ishqiya and Kahaani do so well, you want to have something fantastic to your name as well. Why just female centric films, even Vicky Donor was a great concept. Thankfully there are good scripts coming my way and I am in the process of reading them all. I have to be very cautious of what I do though. From the very beginning of my career, my pace has been slow. It has always been only one or two films a year. I can't do 10 films in 12 months.
