The comedy sequel Welcome 3, officially titled Welcome to the Jungle, will not be releasing this Christmas as earlier expected. Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal, who played the iconic Dr. Ghungroo in the first film of the franchise, has confirmed that the shoot will resume in November–December 2025 and the makers are now eyeing a March or April 2026 theatrical release. He will be seen in a new role this time.

Rawal shared, “Welcome 3 shoot resumes in November-December. And I believe it will be released in cinemas in March or April 2026. Bahut zabardast aur bahut hi dhamaal film hai.” He was speaking to Bollywood Hungama while confirming the update.

The film, directed by Ahmed Khan, brings back Akshay Kumar in the lead, alongside Paresh Rawal. The ensemble cast features stars like Suniel Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Shreyas Talpade, and Johnny Lever. With such a massive star lineup, expectations are high for this third installment of the hit comedy franchise, but the constant delays are lowering the buzz for the film.

Earlier, the film was announced for a 26 December 2025 release, positioned as a big Christmas attraction. However, with shooting delays, the makers have now shifted the timeline. Fans can still look forward to the same dose of laughter, drama, and chaos that the Welcome series is loved for, just a few months later than planned. However, the problem lies with April 2026 because Akshay-Paresh already have another flick—Bhooth Bangla—coming in April 2026. It's not a wise decision to release two comedy movies within such a short span, right?
