Superstar Hrithik Roshan turns 49 today, and we are delighted to wish him a great year ahead. The actor is having a busy birthday as he is shooting for his upcoming flick, Fighter, India’s first aerial action entertainer, co-starring Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor.
During a chat with a leading publication, the actor explains how he has only done films that he actually wanted to do and has never sacrificed a great script. Explaining what his biggest learning has been in these 49 years, he quickly responded, “That peace is not high up there at the top of the pyramid that we hope to reach someday after all the work is done.. work at the end of the day’s work. It is, in fact, the base and foundation of everything and every action in every moment. We need to start with peace. The very state of being at the beginning should be peace."
When asked if birthdays still excite him, Hrithik answered, “I used to see it (the birthday) as a fun day, but then somewhere along the way it started becoming a chore, a duty, that I must celebrate and must party about. Birthdays came with a slight sense of discomfort. But today, I see it as an opportunity to spend time doing things that would fulfil me. I may still do the exact same things, but now it’s out of my own desire and sense of fulfilment rather than a self-imposed mandate.”
