Sanjay Dutt, who was sentenced to jail for possession of illegal arms in the 1993 Bombay Bomb Blast case, recently appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show and the Panipat star got candid about his stint in the prison, on the popular comedy show.
Sanju started a radio show in the prison and he also made paper bags and furniture there. When Kapil asked him much time did it take him to learn the craft, he said, “It took me a lot of time because it’s mandatory to work inside the jail, if you want to reduce your sentence. I used to get 10 paisa per paper bag.”
When he asked what did he do with the money that he earned, Sanjay said, “I used to collect that money with the intention of giving it to my sisters on Rakshabandhan.”
